When It's Due
When It's Due
I live in a glass house with mirrored rooms,
It's only me and my landlord until rent is due.
I don't have a job, no clothes or food.
My landlord will be starving, I can't pay him what I need to.
I've broken the glass walls with my own two hands,
I cut myself on shards over and over again.
I've done nothing but bleed, cry, and stare,
And yet I still can't pay my rent when it's due.
I don't have anything left to repay you.
But you don't kick me out even when rent is past due.
You're starving together with me,
And it's all my fault.
I'm sorry.
