I Cough Because You Smoke
I Cough Because You Smoke
I hate to see you brush your teeth right after you smoke.
I hate how the smell lingers, and how it sticks onto my clothes.
You don't deserve to laugh.
You don't deserve to be happy.
But I know deep down you aren't,
That's exactly why you smoke.
You already stopped smoking, you've stopped for quite a while now.
You've gotten ample therapy, and your treatment helps you breathe.
In the end we're both left coughing,
But in the end I'm left unseen.
Because I didn't hold the cigarette,
I was just there with you.
Though nobody knows you did it.
In my heart it's all your fault.
I only smoked once,
and it's all your fault.
I know deep down it isn't, but it makes me angrier it isn't your fault.
